Since I remember I always loved to draw, and this passion for drawing since I was a young girl stayed with me into the adult life. At the beginning I was just happy to sketch and draw with a pencil, but after awhile I started to test and use different media (color pencils, Copic markers, Distress Inks, etc.), and wanted to learn and explore more about watercolor in particular. When I started exploring watercolors, I just purchased some basic supplies from the local shop, nothing fancy and started drawing. Honestly, my first drawings to me were awful because I didn’t get the results I was hoping for. With time I learned that it is worth investing into good quality 100% cotton watercolor paper, quality brushes and even watercolor paints to be able to achieve great watercolor effects and try different techniques with success.
With time I started to be happy with my drawings and I started to frame and display them at my house. When my family and friends came to visit, they saw my art and really loved it. I still remember when my friend needed a special wedding gift and approached me with the request to paint something for her. I remember I was honored and a bit worried at the same time, since I didn’t think I was going to be up for the challenge and be able to deliver what she asked for. I just didn’t believe I was good enough. But I decided to give it a go and she was happy with the end result, and believe me, so was I… :-).
With all this love for watercolor painting and more and more projects I’ve done, I started to dream about my own website, where I will be able to share and display my art. Almost 10 years passed by since the first thought about my website crossed my mind, and so many things happened since then, but without further ado, it’s finally ready for public launch.
As an artist I had certain ideas of how the website should look like to represent me and capture my creative style. After many years of just thinking about it I finally decided it’s time to realize my dream to become a reality, so I decided to build it myself … :-). To be honest I never ever thought I would be building my own website, but I decided to invest my time into learning and after 5 months here it is…
I am looking forward to share with you lots of my creative ideas and passion for art..
